The canine world is the theme for this years Arcadia Gallery summer exhibition: The 2008 Crafts Dog Show . Around 15 makers and designers have submitted work to the show in a multitude of mediums. Much of the ceramic work has not been seen in Cambridge before, especially guest exhibitor Sue Whimsters fabulously quirky English Bull terriers and Jack Russell puppies. Also new to the city, Terri Smarts dog vessels come in a large range of breeds. Local makers are represented by JJ Vincent, who has entered his ravish ASBO raku dogs. Popular print maker Chris Davis has entered a dog haiku print and a large selection of cards. Theres wire dogs from Sarah Jane Brown and Sam Vettesse, while in jewellery a collection of dog brooches from various makers will also be on show. The exhibition runs from June 21 to September 6th with prices from £5 to £200. Come along and chose your own Best in Show. |
