Arcadia Cottage

Our tucked away one-bedroomed end-terrace cottage, circa 1850, is situated close to the water meadows in the charmimg unspoilt Suffolk town of Halesworth.

Arcadia cottage is an ideal location for touring the Suffolk heritage coast and for walkers, birdwatchers, cyclists, or those who simply require some peace and tranquillity....

Facilities include: sitting room with brick fireplace and wood-burning stove, TV, and CD/radio player. There is a pretty bedroom with double bed and views across the water meadows.

The kitchen has a gas cooker and fridge and plenty of pots and pans for those who like to cook.

The bathroom has a shower bath, electric towel rail and gas combi-boiler for constant hot water.

Outside there is a sitting area with bench and flower-lined pathways.

Bed linen and teatowels provided. Please bring bath towels.

The cottage is located on the edge of Halesworth, in a small, quiet off-road terrace approached by a short footpath from Chediston Street where there is on street parking.

The countryside is only 100 metres away with a footpath heading across the water meadows and into open fields. The town centre is a short and pleasant walk down Chediston Street.

Halesworth

This small historic market town has a pedestrianised thoroughfare with excellent food shops, including an organic deli, greengrocers, butchers and a fishmonger, all selling local produce.

There are banks with cash points, a Boots chemist, a small supermarket and an independent off-licence. A Co-op superstore and petrol station are close by.

There are several cafes, an Arts Centre, Bistro, a couple of Adnams pubs and the Angel Hotel with its renowned Italian restaurant.

By road

Pleasant drive via A14/A143/B1123 or A12 coast road.

By rail

Halesworth Station is on the direct line to Liverpool Street. Connections via Ipswich to Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds.
